PowerSource Overview

PowerSource was formed in 2002 by a group of former Fortune 100 energy executives who perceived in the developing markets of Asia an opportunity to link the hard infrastructure of power and water with the soft infrastructure of livelihood development and training. The team developed the unique concept of the Community Energizer Platform™ micro-grid to catalyze rural development around a core electrification capability. Through structured alliances with the Philippines Department of Energy and numerous other national, international and multilateral institutions, PowerSource established a reputation for innovation and competence in constructing and operating rural electrification and development platforms. This reputation, in turn, led to introductions resulting in the creation of the corporate institutional Energy Services business now being developed in parallel with the micro-grid business.

The PowerSource team is highly experienced internationally in power plant design, construction, operation and maintenance, distributed generation, hybrid energy system design and installation, renewable energy systems and rural electrification. PowerSource management has successful track records at both Fortune 100 multinational and entrepreneurial start-up levels with energy systems ranging from a few kilowatts to thousands of megawatts.
